First and foremost I intentionally did not do anything to make sure that the blog keeps on getting traffic. This is not a for-profit blog, I have one of those blog but I will not mention it here.

Frankly, I’m looking for another host where I can have a much better control over who can see my blog and the things I post in it, if you have a suggestion send me an email or comments down below. I prefer an invite only blog. I don’t like MySpace even though it has that option.

Untill then I’ll probably won’t be able to post much or anything at this blog anymore. Though I’ll keep it active because the nickname I used here should and forever remain exclusively for me.

By the way, to those asking and for the few who knew that I’ve started writing a manuscript for my book – yes I’m still actively writing it, in-fact I’m looking for a graphics artist partner that will help me visualize the world I’m creating. If anyone of you knows someone willing to do that, pls. send me an email.

Anyways when I bought this laptop it came pre-installed with windows vista, I for one don’t have anything bad against that OS despite what others are saying all over the net I still preferred it over XP. (well not really!)

(yep, install it… now!)

Recently I just took the courage to remove vista in favor of installing win7, I could have done it earlier if only the warranty wasn’t preventing me from doing so.Thank the god(s) that my warranty finally ended. After pondering about it for some time I finally gave in and took the solitary win7 installation disc just sitting there staring at me since I got it.

I didn’t encounter any difficulties regarding the OS’ installation I’ve been installing OS for ages and win7 even if it’s newer didn’t gave a problem. Actually installation was a breeze this time around, kudos to Microsoft for that OS-like boot windows because it looks and feels like an OS all by itself. Installation, formatting and all those techy stuff are now neatly found on that boot window.

Formatting was as simple as pressing a button…literally. It was done in a matter of seconds (5 I think) I was expecting the long-ish format wait time like XP’s and some Vista’s (starter) re-format method. Thankfully when they installed my vista I opted to create partitions all by myself (all to their chagrins -ha!) so my other partitions acted as back up spaces for my files that will be transferred to 7.

Installation lasted for 15minutes or so, compared to vista and xp which took me 20-45 minutes.

After installation win7 booted up perfectly! The win7 ultimate logo popped up along with my user log-on page.

I had to re-install every driver that didn’t came with win7 (I expected it anyways so it wasnt all that irksome) and thankfully I have found them all in the net. Well except for one, my touchpad is using the default windows driver and because of that the touchpad’s scrolling capability isn’t working. The driver found on HP is for Vista ONLY so I still have to wait for some time if they’ll release a driver for win7.

Today… I got the chance to testdrive win7′s wireless capability. So I went to my favorite wireless net place here in Robinsons place Boni AND lo and behold connecting to the network was easier than ABC. When I had vista connecting to this place’s wireless network was such a hassle I had to click the connect button 20-30 time before it establishes a connection, with 7 it took far less than that – a staggering one click access!

And compared to vistas’ way of handling wireless connections, my current connection is holding up and I haven’t had the connection drop yet like that in vista.

So all and all I find win7 a far more superior OS than Vista and XP combined. The was it is marketed in a sense. Microsoft did fine for a change.

Of course some of the glaring faults of the Microsoft OS is still here… it’s still is not a MAC and it will never be a MAC but atleast it’s far more better now. I have the feeling MS is smiling from cheek-to-cheek with their current OS’ success and they all have the rights to do so.

Again KUDOS to MS for doing a mighty fine job with Win7!

Just wanna share ahahaha…

I started planning on this particular occasion 2 months ahead of my 21st birthday. Location, Budget, Transportation, and Guest List.  I was always the planning type and I so hate it when a well ironed out plan goes awry, not that this one went wrong it just wasn’t what I first envisioned it to be .

Location wise it was perfect, a silent countryside retreat house away from the busy city streets I grew accustomed to.

Budgeting was the easiest part and I don’t want to crank out the numbers.

Transportation was a 3 way plan designed to be alternatives for each other. Amazingly we got our hands on a private van courtesy of Tito Omeng he ferried us to the location nice and safely, amidst the paranoia the storm was brewing on our way there.

And finally the guest list, I think amidst all the planning this one was hit the most.

I made the best decision of my life so far to set my bday bash a week delayed from my bday on the 26th of September. Let’s call it a gut instinct at that time. I was soooo right when on the morning of my 21st bday on the 26th of September, typhoon Ondoy pummeled the northern territories of the country while it’s rain bands brought upon a deluge of torrential rains upon the national capital region. We weren’t spared ourselves as our entire 1st floor was drowned in chest level murky sewage water flood. The monday after that, state forecasters and the media warned of another typhoon approaching, as a self proclaimed typhoon watcher, I gathered data from several foreign weather forecasters because I didn’t frankly believed on our state’s weather bureau, the Japanese weather bureau was particularly helpful as they have Doppler (or doplar as it is locally known) Radars that can measure the potential rains a typhoon can pack. After all those time spent studying typhoon Pepeng, I was sure that it wont affect the NCR and Southern Tagalogs as much as Ondoy did. So I decided to un-cancel my party.

I began calling those who were previously invited to inform them that the weather conditions won’t be a problem so I decided to un-cancel the party. I was dismayed when all but 1 particular person decided that he was 110% prepared to go. I explained to the others via Yahoo Messenger what I learned and think about typhoon Pepeng. But I failed to persuade the other 5. Reasons were:

• One was afraid of brown-outs because they feared that Meralco (NCR’s Lone power distributor) would cut of the supply once Pepeng landfalled. I think they didn’t saw this news .
• One can’t go because of flood in their area.
• One I had difficulty in contacting as his brother won’t relay messages to him.
• One just outright decided not to go.
• One was not allowed to go by authority of his mother, I think they knew pepeng would affect NCR like Ondoy. Which as I predicted, didn’t happen.
• and finally the “110% sure to come” decided to cancel an hour before departure. Nice eh?

I could have canceled totally if it weren’t for them.

When the first 2 decided to opt out, I called Jonlene, Lei, Ram, and Righ and invited them over the week before. Without hesitation whatsoever all of them were able to come  and we met after 9PM (Righ was late) then we headed to Cavite right after that.

We had so much fun during the night, we barbecued together, ate together, got drunk together, spilled the beans on each other (lol) , and all that while the weather was soooo nice. We went on till 6 in the morning the following day. Oh by the way, note to self: DONT DRINK A 90PROOF VODKA EVER AGAIN ahahahahaha.

The following day we were all drunk, the world is spinning around too much, the girls slept in the guest room while me and righ outlandishly camped out in the wooden hut outside (lols). I was actually cleaning before I lost consciousness so when me and righ woke up our place wasn’t dirty at all. Trust me it was not easy cleaning up while everything around you is spinning.

the following day I was so groggy my eyes don’t like the sun shining on it. lols. They however don’t seem to mind it at all. hahaha!

It was a perfect and typical sunny day with a pleasant cool breeze the next day. My only source of irritation was the sun as it stings my eyes I didn’t find it funny (lols). We traveled back to Manila and went on our separate ways when we reached Boni Mandaluyong City.

All and all I had soooo much fun and was so glad I decided to un-cancel my party. Best bday (belated) so far (lols).

Im still waiting for some of the other pics to get uploaded but I’ll be sure to share it with you guys when they’re done. I don’t have all the sets as of right now.

To Jonlene, Lei, Righ, Ram and my family together with tito Omeng and Bernie, Thank You for the wonderful time. The food and everything was great ^_^ here’s to hoping there would be another

No! Because for one that is an actual Bomb in a Bombshell!

Then how about this one?

Heavens NO! Definitely NOT THAT KIND OF “BOMBSHELLS”

And it’s definitely NOT the bombshell explained on wiki .

If you definitely want to know then just find out after the jump!

Bombshells are like the name implies a casing for a bomb, however, we (me and righ) uses it differently as someone who is/are:

• Clueless
• Dumb
• Stupid
• Moron
• an Idiot
• Insensitive
• Arrogant
• Nonsense
• Dull
• Hopeless

So when I call you a bombshell or a potential bombshell don’t take it as a compliment (specially if you’re a girl -> because I definitely am NOT talking about your “assets”). Instead think of it and find out if you fit into any of those criteria above and do something about it.

So do I know any bombshells?

The answer is: yes.

But I won’t give away names or anything, it’s bad enough they’ve proven themselves unlucky enough to be marked as one.

The bombshell theory was not my own invention but it was passed down on me by my good friend Righ. And true enough there do exist people who manages to drift towards being a bombshell. I have nothing wrong against them but I just don’t want to be involved with them anymore. They are a taboo when they get the bombshell mark meaning they shouldn’t be talked about in my presence.

Can a bombshell redeem him/herself? I don’t know about righ but I may give chance to those few who I have personally labeled as one. Just prove to me that I was wrong, that I was out of my mind when I gave you that title and I’ll revoke it immediately and scratch you away from the bombshells or the “failed bomb” list.

I hope now that you guys can think about what you’re doing now that you know what a bombshell is.

Things just suddenly got a tad more complicated, I still don’t have the means to update my site using vids as much as I want to.

On the plus side, I recently received an e-mail from the Twitter team that says I have now control of this twitter profile http://www.twitter.com/reiks – neat huh? Someone actually stole one of my most used screen names and actually posted stuffs coming from my old Friendster shout-out and blog.

Today the midterms officially ended, not that I cared much since I finished mine last Wednesday.

But for some I know, specially those who are in the verge of graduating this coming sem, they find this there second (or third) final time to take their mid-terms.

Honestly, ever since I entered College, I never really took any exams (midterm, quizzes, finals) seriously, OK so maybe I did once or twice but that was because it was a major subject and it was my pride and joy to pass it.

But other than those, I never really found myself to study for any of those test and still I manage to pass them all, even if some of my peers who took the same exam as mine, and clearly showed signs of stress that they studied for it failed. I call it luck I or I also call it going with the flow of things. I figured if I over stress myself by studying for a mid-term or any exam then I’ll definitely look like that guy in the image above. Stress and I don’t go well together and stress is one word in the dictionary that I try my best to avoid.

Stress leads to anxiety and anxiety leads to depression, I don’t have a remedy for depression because I never get depressed. If I do get depressed then you’ll find me in a slump or brooding in my room, no way! God knows how I look like when I brood and loss my sanity! Trust me when I’m down, I’m down, down as in down there at the depths of Hell!

I swear to myself that how negative things life throw at me that I’ll accept it, because I made a self pact that I would never-ever be depressed.

Hell week as they so calls it (from other schools as well) comes only 4 or 6 times per academic year for semestral based colleges, or double/triple for trimestral colleges. It’s the dreaded mid-term and final week. Again dreaded for them not for me!

So here I am spending my free time at my favorite out campus solo hang-out place at Robinsons Mall, Boni. Waiting for my laptop’s battery to die out on me before going home. I was suppose to go to a beads shop today and other plans with Righ but I decided to postpone it till the 23rd so that we can also watch Underworld: Rise of the Lycans when it comes out in the cinema, that is one movie I wasn’t expecting and I just found out about it when I saw the huge tarpauline hanging in the Shangri-la malls while I was sardined in the MRT on my way home from school. Believe me it was only by chance that I managed to see it amidst all the people pushing and groping inside the MRT car.

So basically there we have it, I have managed to survive this years first mid-term and now I plan to take it easy till finals since it’s all about submitting requirements from here on out, and since I have submitted of it already, I guess I’m almost thru this sem

I hope my classmates did the same and I wish to see them all again this coming sem.

This is alarming inded!

I’m a blogger, I support freedom of speech but what they (the school officials) have done is certainly an extremity of punishment just for saying out or blogging out what they want!

But I wouldn’t be suprised their principal did this to them, with her name: Zenaida Panti Sadsad. I can understand that she may suffered enough insults since then. I’m sure you know what a Panti/Panties/Panty are(is) and here in the Philippines when said out loud it denotes a negative connotation and having it in a name surely hits the spot. On top of that it has Sadsad in it which in turn is another negative word.

Being a professional in the education industry and a principal to top it, one in her position should know how to tolerate such criticism! If freedom of speech wasn’t invented we might have never been released from the grimy claws of the spanish conquistadors. Of all people, us, filipinos know what it is to have democracy and freedom. We fought for it and maybe that’s why they slandered you and your school. They may have seen something wrong with you and/or the school to write something that provocative and you condemned them to a suspension – which by the way won’t look good on their personal records. But maybe the exposure would and at the same time ping back at you Madame Zenaida Panti Sadsad for being a dictator and killer of freedom.

To those from the QC Science High, I salute you!

I once condemned and sent to the guidance office my High School teacher and adviser back then about acting beyond the rules of the teachers code of conduct and believe me it didn’t go without repercussion. Maybe it’s natural there’s always a consequence to what we do, but if we don’t fight for what we are standing up against, then nothing would improve.

But what I learned from what I did was that I’m a capable debater and I love to seek the truth out of anyone, my sociology professor once said to me “You would be a dangerous lawyer because I can sense that you can bend the law and sense any loophole and use it to your advantage”. She’s right though and that is what I did back then, I excel in argumentation and philosophy all because of my thirst to light a particular subject.

I might be sending out vibes that I”m an activist or something, no I’m not. In fact I don’t support any activist group I know and heard of but that doesn’t mean I would be getting on their way when their out on the street. I prefer a more diplomatic and civilized approach than a protest but we have our own set of preferences. Yes read that clearly Madame Zenaida “Our own set of preferences”.

Luckily for you Madame Zenaida Panti Sadsad that I wasn’t a part of your school or you would, by now, recieved a subpeona from the board of educators declaring that what you have done compromised my freedom of expression, my rights as a student, and my rights as a human living in a democratic country!

For the parents of those who were wrongly punished, you should stand up for what is right. If you believe that what your children have done is not wrong then go and make an appeal to the regional board like any reasonable parent would do.

My father understood what happened to me and I didn’t  heard him dissapointed of the decision my high school gave me and you shouldn’t! Be proud that your kids know what is right and wrong and they know how to expose them.

I hope that anyone who reads this get inspired to voice out their feeling and show their long hidden vengeance. As long as freedom remains free, don’t ever be afraid to use it.
